ERP Integration

Enterprise resource planning (ERP) software implementations should integrate core business functionality such as accounting, sales, manufacturing or human resources, across the entire business enterprise, from supply chain management to customer relationship management

Supply Chain Management (SCM) packages are back-end applications designed to link suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, and resellers in a cohesive production and distribution network.

Customer Relationship Management (CRM) applications are designed to facilitate the capture, consolidation, analysis, and enterprise-wide dissemination of data from existing and potential customers.

Key Benefits

  • ERP packages are not a comprehensive solution but the backbone to which customer and supplier facing applications must be linked as a means of extending the functionality of enterprise software.
  • SCM integration with ERP packages decrease inventory costs by matching production to demand.
  • SCM integration reduces overall production costs by streamlining the flow of goods through the production process and between an enterprise, its suppliers and its distributors.
  • CRM integration with ERP packages enable the extended enterprise to more effectively identify, contact, and acquire new customers.
  • CRM integration leverages existing customer relationships.

Capabilities

ERP systems are being viewed as the backbone to which customer-facing and supplier-facing applications may be linked as a means of extending the functionality of enterprise software. Bruner professionals have participated in the integration and deployment of complex enterprise software such as SAP, PeopleSoft, and Great Plains.

Our implementation projects have integrated the new ERP software into either an existing base of systems hardware or a newly designed systems architecture by ensuring that diverse sets of hardware, software, and network components work together seamlessly. As a result of our experience, we have gained in understanding integration technologies, interface development, data base management, and other enabling technologies that permit disparate systems to share information across a variety of business functions.

Implementation Experience

Bruner has participated on a number of ERP implementation projects requiring integration of custom and packaged software managing both internally focused and externally focused information.

ERP Partner and Product User

We have been a Great Plains Software business partner since 1997.  Great Plains is an ERP software package with accounting, distribution, human resources, payroll, and manufacturing components.  Another business partner, SalesLogix, provides a customer resource management (CRM) software product.  Both Great Plains and SalesLogix products are used internally by Bruner.

Ability to Leverage Information via Integration

By understanding the value of sharing certain information across functional applications within an enterprise, crucial information can be leveraged for competitive advantage.  ERP applications are not a competitive advantage without proper information technology strategy and systems integration.
